Peru Retreat 2023
Get ready for a week of diverse, energetic spiritual experiences which help you connect with your higher self. The retreat, which takes place from July 24-28th, 2023, takes place in the energetically powerful Sacred valley, located between Cusco and Machu Picchu.
The retreat will include expressive writing workshops, morning yoga instruction, meditation at mountain vistas, outings to spiritually charged locations and the chance to experience indigenous local rituals including an optional plant-healing ceremony.
FLIGHTS:
Book your flight as soon as possible to Lima, Peru, as July is the peak of tourism season. After you have booked your international flight, you will need to purchase a domestic flight from Lima to Cusco where you will be picked up (Cusco airport or hotel). It is recommended that you buy the domestic flight separately, as you will find more availability and it can be more cost effective. You can book your domestic flight with Latam Airlines as they have the most number of flights.

ACCOMODATIONS:
We will be staying at Samana Wasi, a family-owned hostel surrounded by the Andean mountains. Located in strong, energetic land, the simple accommodations will have a private bathroom and access to outdoor areas. Your room will be available from Sunday, July 23rd at 3pm until check out on Friday, July 28th at 11am.

FOOD:
Vegetarian meals will be included in the cost of the retreat and provided by the Samana Wasi hostel staff. They will provide 5 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 3 dinners. Keep in mind that if you participate in the healing ceremony, you will need to fast from breakfast onward on the day of the ceremony.
ARRIVAL:
Included in the cost of the retreat is a transfer from Cusco to the retreat site in the Sacred Valley, which is about a one-hour drive. Please provide us with your arrival flight details to Cusco city.
DESTINATION:
Our July spiritual retreat will take place in the small town of Urubamba, Peru, under the snow-capped mountain, Chicón. Located one hour from Cusco, Urubamba is the largest town in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It has an elevation of 2,870 m (9,420 ft).

WEATHER:
July is winter time in Peru, so please pack accordingly. Temperatures will range from 39-72 degrees Fahrenheit, but tends to feel colder.
MACHU PICCHU:
If you plan to visit Machu Picchu during your visit, you will need to book tickets in advance. First, book your train tickets from the Ollantaytambo station to Agua Calientes town. There are two rail companies that operate trains to Machu Picchu.

Once you have booked your train tickets, buy entrance tickets at the government website for the day you would like to visit Machu Picchu. → https://www.machupicchu.gob.pe/?lang=en.
The final step, upon arrival to Aguas Calientes town at the feet of Machu Picchu, is to purchase a round-trip bus ticket in person. The bus will take you from Aguas Calientes town to Machu Picchu archeological site, about a 25 minute ride.
