I’ve calculated the numerology for hundreds of people, yet I find myself struggling to calculate my own. It’s not for lack of trying, but because my birth certificate, which is essential for numerology calculations, is written in Arabic. This means there are two distinct numerical systems tied to my name—one for the Arabic script and another for English.

Numerology varies depending on the language system it’s applied to. In Western numerology, the Pythagorean system assigns numbers to letters based on their order in the Latin alphabet, commonly used for names in English and other Western languages. In contrast, the Abjad system, rooted in Arabic language and culture, assigns numerical values based on the Arabic script. Historically, the Abjad system has been used for mystical and esoteric purposes in the Islamic world, with special emphasis on the spiritual energy behind Arabic letters, often used in Quranic interpretation.

The differences between these systems can profoundly influence a numerology reading. While the Pythagorean system applies to a wide range of languages and names, the Abjad system provides a deeply cultural and spiritual lens.
